Born in Cuba and now based in New York, Diego works across contemporary jazz and improvised music, with collaborators including William Parker, David Virelles, Manuel Valera, Kweku Sumbry , Daniel Carter among others.He has performed at venues like Jazz Showcase, Jazz at Lincoln Center, Roulette Intermedium, Porgy & Bess, NYC Winter Festival, the BRIC Festival, Elkhart Jazz Fest, Lake George Jazz Fest. His newest appearance in a release, Turn of Events on 577 Records all music written by Matthieu Mazué.
